Shaftesbury Junior School

We care, we share, for the future we prepare

School Values

School Values

At Shaftesbury, we believe in the concept of lifelong learning and the idea that both adults and children learn new things every day.  We maintain that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone; it should be fun.  Through our teaching and our curriculum, we equip our children with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to be able to make informed choices about the important things in their lives.  We believe that appropriate teaching and learning experiences help children to lead happy and rewarding lives.

Motto

We care, we share, for the future we prepare

Our motto was written by one of our ex-pupils and received the most votes from our school community as it reflects the Shaftesbury ethos perfectly.  We encourage our children to be caring in all that they do, to share not only their things but also their time and their support and to work hard at preparing for whatever the future holds.
