General Data Protection Regulation

 

Shaftesbury Junior School aims to ensure that personal information is treated lawfully and correctly.  The lawful and correct treatment of personal information is extremely important in maintaining the confidence of those with whom the school deals and in achieving its objectives.  This policy sets out the basis on which the school shall process any personal data from the students, their parents and carers, staff and other parties from whom data is collected.

 

This policy sets out what we expect from individuals who are involved in processing personal data in order for the school to comply with applicable law.  Compliance with this policy is mandatory.

 

The school, and therefore any person who handles personal data on behalf of the school, fully endorses and adheres to the data protection principles set out in Article 5 of the GDPR and sections 83-89 DPA 2018 as below and shall be responsible for and be able to demonstrate compliance with the principles outlines in the documents below.  If you would like a paper copy of any of these documents, please contact the school office.
