Music
At Shaftesbury our aim is to provide a music curriculum which will enable each child to explore their potential in music, encourage children to enjoy singing, composing and performing and provide children with the opportunity to perform in front of an audience both within and outside of school.
The National Curriculum for music aims to ensure that all pupils:
• Perform, listen to, review and evaluate music
• Be taught to sing, create and compose music
• Understand and explore how music is created, produced and communicated.
We have create a 'music development plan' to outline what we offer at Shaftesbury Junior School and what we intend to offer in future.
